g [solved] Non-Recoverable error lua:348

2 months ago

Hello! Installed the mod today and was running fine on Nauvis. Within the minute of me placing 1-2 radars on Fulgora wife and I got the following error.

The mod Infinite radar (2.4.0) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.

Error while running event infinite-radar::on_tick (ID 0)
infinite-radar/control.lua: 348: attempt to index local 'gfsr' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
infinite-radar/control.lua:348: in function
<infinite-radar/control.lua:294>

I can get a screenshot of the mods we are using if needed. Thanks!

Thanks for this bug report! I was not able to reproduce this error and I suspect that this is mainly a multiplayer issue. I added some extra failsafes in the code to prevent this error.

The part that caused the update is the countdown timer in the GUI when hovering the Infiniradar. It might be that you experience issues with it not updating while you are in multiplayer. If that happens, could you please execute command /infiniradar_debug (in the chat), then go to <your Factorio installation folder>/script-output/infiniradar.txt and share the content of that file?

Thanks for checking! Updated to 2.4.1 and have been fine for the last 4 hours. I'll send the file if we see that error again.

That's good to hear! Just note that I added the command only in 2.4.2, though I suspect that the problem is solved now.
