Autopilot for the trucks of Heavy Trucks (Vanilla+): they drive themselves between truck stops following a schedule, like trains.

i Circuit Connection for truck stops

(updated 14 days ago)

Would it be possible to add circuit connection to the truck stop to set priority and truck limit?
Also get a signal when a truck is in the truck stop, so one can start the inserters only when a truck is actually stopped.

Good idea, it's doable: a wire connection point on the truck stop, like the train stop's, to set its truck limit and priority from signals, and an output signal while a truck is parked and locked in the stop (so inserters only work when a truck is actually there). I'll add it in an upcoming Autopilot update.

Hi, can you also add on output for the contents of the trucks fuel slots?

Done! In the truck stop's circuit connection, "Read truck contents" now has an "Include fuel" option under it (like assembling machines have): it also sends what's in the stopped truck's fuel slots. It'll be in the next Autopilot update.

Regarding the Circuit connection i miss in Truck stops is the Circuit signal listening and based on the signal trigger coresponing Interrupt.

I have this with my Trains setups and it work fine. Something like LTN done manually.

As for an example.
- I have Depo stations where the Trains have "nothing to do" just listen to the circuit demands.
- When circuit signal raises a train go to station A or B and unload it at station C. and go back to Depo.
- I also use Memory cards, so the trains knows what to load and where.

So far i have not found a way how to trigger Interrupt on Truck stops. We can set "has full cargo" at station A and "Empty cargo" at station B. Which is essentialy One truck per one truck stop.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! You're right, truck interrupts can't read circuit signals yet: they have most of the train conditions, but not the circuit condition. I'm adding it (in waits and interrupts, like trains), so you'll be able to set up a depot that sends trucks out when a signal comes in. I'll also look into the "send to train" style signals for the memory-card part.

"send to train" is not that needed. As i can handle that with memory card. Unload it at Loading station. Get the stuff, get the card back and leave.

Oh and I forgot to mention one small thing about the interrupts. And that is the ability to trigger the interrupts manualy. ( to test the route.)

Good to know, then I'll leave "send to train" out for now. Manually triggering an interrupt to test a route is a great idea, I'm adding it.
