Functional Gleba Map Colors

by againey

Adjusts map colors of Gleba terrain to represent function rather than appearance, making farmable land easier to distinguish from unfarmable land and water. It can also adjust the lightness of farmable and unfarmable wetlands and deep water in the main view to raise their contrast.

This is a mod for adjusting map colors of Gleba terrain to represent function rather than appearance, making farmable land easier to distinguish from unfarmable land and water. The provided screenshots demonstrated the effect of changing the agricultural stage, with images 2 through 4 highlighting farmable land at the 3 different technological stages. Image 5 shows the vanilla appearance where it is much harder to see where overgrowth soil can be placed.

Minor adjustments can also be made to the main view by altering the lightness of farmable and unfarmable wetlands and deep water to increase their contrast, as demonstrated by image 7 (modded) and image 8 (vanilla).

*When applied to an existing game save, please wait a minute for the Gleba map to be regenerated in the background with the new colors.
