I tried starting here and its definitely interesting but there are some things that seem problematic.
1. You can use stone bricks/concrete to build anywhere. This essentially ruins the small buildable "islands" concept since there's plenty of both around.
2. With the changes to recycling in 2.1 you can't actually use scrap if you start here.
3. I explored quite a bit but I never found a repeatable source of aerogel. I understand restricting it for early game but if there's not one I can't see how it can be expected to be used in superconductors

Good point on stone, I’ll figure out a solve for that in the next release, maybe I can figure out a way you can only build paths on allowed land.

I’ve already made a change for the next release that adds an alternate recipe for Rails that uses scrap, and removed Rails as a possible output from Item Wells. Maybe that’s enough, we’ll see.

You do get Item Wells that output aerogel but you have to go quite far out to find them, however once you go far out enough aerogel is guaranteed as an output.

Great feedback though, don’t hesitate to let me know about anything else you find.

I moved to a different playthrough after I realized what I was playing was probably not intended. I'll restart again probably next week.
