Hey! Cool mod, I dig it. One question, since we can use pipes on space platforms. How does it work there? In vaccuum, there no medium to excrude heat into, except other pipes and connected machines via thermal conductivity.
There should be way lesser or no dissipation on platforms whatsoever. Are you considering this?

I asked myself the same questions. In vacuum, as we know, it's hard to dissipate heat. It mostly happens through radiation, which is weak compared to heat loss in a dense environment.

Anyway, the mod is currently limited to Nauvis and works only with steam. So in space there's no heat dissipation at all 😁

Right now I just want to test the core mechanics for gases and liquids, and then expand it to other planets/space platforms

I only know that heat pipes can heat tiles on Aquilo.

And there's also a machine recipe that melts ice cubes into water.
Theoretically, ice cubes could melt right on the belts, kind of like a spoilage mechanic. But then what would we do with water on the belts? :)

I'm not sure steam in pipes could survive without heat pipes. I think the steam would turn into hot water on its own rather than melt the ice
