Mods introducing new content into the game.
Version: 0.3.1
Date: 2026-10-23
Features:
- In-game Tips and tricks: BUS pipes, bus coupler, status and common mistakes, circuit network,
balancing interval.
Version: 0.3.0
Date: 2026-10-23
Changes:
- Updated for Factorio 2.1 (requires 2.1; Factorio 2.0 stays on 0.2.0).
- Fluid access migrated to the 2.1 LuaEntity fluid API (LuaFluidBox was removed).
- Recycling recipes for BUS pipes and the coupler now come from the recycler mod.
- The coupler no longer sends a circuit signal. In Factorio 2.1 every pipe can read the pipeline
contents, and BUS pipes can too: set a BUS pipe to "Read pipeline contents" to get the amount
of fluid in its segment. The couplers keep all segments at the same fill, so one reading pipe
shows the state of the whole bus. Summing of percentages from several couplers on one wire is gone.
- Existing saves: wires from a coupler no longer carry the fill % – move them to a BUS pipe and
convert conditions from % to amounts (each pipe holds 100, e.g. 50 % of a 50-pipe segment is
"[fluid] > 2500"). A coupler condition such as "[fluid] > 50" without a wire stops working –
wire a BUS pipe in front of the coupler to it.
- The coupler's Enable/Disable condition and the "Bus balancing interval" signal work as before.
Bugfixes:
- BUS pipes now show the "B" marking in their entity icon too (map editor, Factoriopedia), not only
in the item icon.
- A pump placed directly next to a coupler stopped balancing of the whole bus network (in Factorio 2.1
pumps have no fluid segment). That coupler side now counts as not connected – put at least one
BUS pipe between the coupler and the pump.
Compatibility:
- Tested on Factorio 2.1 with Space Age, Pyanodon's modpack 3.1 and Bob's Logistics 3.0.
- Pipe Tiers has no Factorio 2.1 release yet; support stays in place for when it is updated.
Version: 0.2.0
Date: 2026-10-08
Changes:
- BUS pipes now connect only to BUS pipes, bus couplers and pumps (not to ordinary pipes, tanks or
machines). A pump is the gateway between the bus and ordinary pipes. BUS undergrounds no longer pair
with ordinary undergrounds. Pipes with their own connection category (e.g. Pyanodon's niobium pipes)
keep their BUS variants separate in the same way.
- Existing saves: BUS pipes touching ordinary pipes, tanks or machines get disconnected after the
update – put a pump between the bus and the ordinary pipe.
- Circuit output simplified to a single signal: green wire, [fluid] = fill %. The red wire
(total amount) was removed. A disabled or unpowered coupler sends the fill of its fuller side,
so the condition "[fluid] > 50" can switch it on again - e.g. pass fluid on only when the bus
in front of it is more than half full. Works without wires.
Features:
- Own coupler window instead of the assembling machine window (which showed recipe and other
unused circuit options): status, preview, network size, fill and amount, electricity, and a
"Circuit connection" panel with Enable/Disable and the condition only.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bus network getting stuck below full: with no consumption, segments far from the source
stayed several % lower (about 0.5 % per segment in the network). The tolerance is now evaluated
for the whole network.
Version: 0.1.0
Date: 2026-10-04
Features:
- BUS variants of every pipe and underground pipe in the game, including pipes from other mods.
Same properties as the original, marked with a spray-painted black "B".
- Bus coupler: joins all segments of BUS pipes into one network and keeps their fill level even,
so the whole bus behaves like one tank. Connects only to BUS pipes and needs electricity.
- The whole network is balanced at once in a single tick, so all segments end up with the same
fill level; handles fast modded pumps (tested at 12,000/s).
- Fluid amount and temperature are preserved while balancing.
- Circuit network output under the icon of the bus fluid: red wire = total amount, green wire = fill %.
- Circuit control: enable/disable the coupler by a condition; the "Bus balancing interval" signal
sets the balancing interval of its network.
- Coupler status in its window: network size and fill, no power, not connected, mixed fluids.
- Coupler graphics: pressure-gauge fitting with a status light (green / yellow / red by power state).
- Settings: coupler power (startup) and balancing interval (map setting, changeable while playing).
Compatibility:
- Tested with Space Age, Pyanodon's modpack, Bob's Logistics and Pipe Tiers.
