Extremely Fluffy FAQ
Do I need Space Age?
You need to own it, because Phosphorus and Radioactive Elements use spoiling.
Disable Space Age and Quality when playing this pack. Factorio 2.1.23 or later
is required.
Why no Space Age or Quality?
Every legacy BZ mod excludes Space Age. The pack excludes Quality too; it is
built and tested without it. Elevated Rails can still be enabled.
Why the legacy BZ mods, not Brevven's own 2.1 releases?
Brevven's originals have 2.1 releases for only six of the twelve: Titanium,
Silica & Silicon, Lead, Zirconium, Graphite & Diamonds and Tin. Morganni's
legacy versions cover all twelve and share BZ Library. The family mods'
integrations are checked with that set. Do not mix the originals and forks.
I played BZ before; why are the extras off?
Factorio keeps your stored startup values when a mod changes its defaults.
Choose the pack's values in Settings → Mod settings → Startup; installing
the pack does not overwrite old values. The page lists all eight defaults.
How is this different from Very Fluffy?
Very Fluffy installs the same ten
family material mods and recommends Bismuth. Extremely Fluffy also requires
all twelve legacy BZ mods, Bismuth and Manganese, and turns on the BZ extras
by default. Their materials and machines add processing steps and uses across
the family. This pack excludes Space Age and Quality.
Can I turn off the BZ extras?
Yes. Change them in Settings → Mod settings → Startup. The pack supplies
defaults, not locked values, and the material mods also work with the BZ
mods' own defaults.
Can I add it to an existing save?
Start a new game. Adding the whole pack mid-game is not tested. The included
mods add resources and change existing recipes and research.
Which planning tools work with it?
Factory Planner, Rate Calculator, Factory Search, Bottleneck Lite and
Informatron are optional dependencies. Informatron includes Antimony's
workshop guide.
Is there a guide or milestones?
With Milestones, the pack adds sections for the BZ mods, Bismuth and
Manganese, and each family mod adds its own section. On an existing save, press
Reset in the Milestones settings to add them. There is no pack-specific
in-game guide; the optional Informatron includes Antimony's workshop guide.
