Aside from the recipe selection bug (posted elsewhere in this discussion forum), the Coal Coke appears to be overpowered AF in the early game. Coal Coke, currently, has a 1:1 relationship with regular coal, so you use 1 Coal to make 1 Coal Coke.

However, regular Coal has an energy value of 4MJ per piece, and Coal Coke has 10MJ per piece. That's s +150% increase. Is that really intentional?

I mean, I'm not gonna complain about an easier power method before you smother yourself in Solar, but a +150% increase seems a bit much. I do love the increased stack size, though. 50 is such an awkward stack size.

I wouldn't mind a +20%, or even +50% increase. But +150%? That's too strong without any other inputs or materials. It hurts to say this, because I really do enjoy it, but for basically no effort at all, you get so much power.

In fact, if you did 2:1 ratio, you'd still do +25%, which is significant.

I've opted for a nerf as you see: now you gain 2MJ of fuel power for each conversion.
That said, it is still a lot of value.
That's why the rocket fuel production via coal now is less efficient, as the fuel values got decreased, but the amount of oil required for the crafting remained the same.

But I think I'll have to nerf at least the amount of coal products obtained from the advanced coal processing...
I'll play a bit on some run that I have and see how things go.
At least now we passed from a 300% efficiency increase to a 200%. xD

Just to confirm, this change didn't make it in 2.5.0, right? Coke is still 10 MJ in my game, and still requires just a single Coal to make.

Was playing with Bz foundry sorry - I didn't realize that the normal vanilla had that issue.
Fixed in 2.5.1 - Maybe - With reserve.

No, the 2:1 feels quite a bit more reasonable. It's a hefty boost, but not a "lol power" boost. For now, I think it's fine.
