Hi, idk if you may add a setting to let locomotives and wagons that have lengths of 8 instead of 6. This is only way for a neat mega train factory layout for SE's big machines and big beacons. (I mean this layout https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRYQcVb_5W0)
In most factories, items are balanced using several splitters before loading or after unloading from wagons. However, the mega train factory layout does not balance items to/from wagons, i.e. each wagon directly and independently support a machine or a stripe of machines. All wagons work in parallel. In this way, I can build a super long, say 4L32C, train based mega system. No bus, very few belts, only trains, . Making the whole base extremely neat.
However, when playing SE, the current length-6 locomotive/wagon system does not work well. SE's machine is very big so I have little room to build beacons. Additionally, SE's big beacon's 32x32 affacting area covers 5 or 6 wagons, which is a very awkward number.
In 1.1 I used the Space Trains mod, which introduces length-8 locomotives and wagons. The whole thing went great. It is long enough to build each machine per wagon. The SE big beacon covers exact 4 wagons, just perfect for 4/8/16/32-wagon trains.
