Dredgeworks

by Kubius

Ore patches now spill over into the sea as submerged variants. Dredge them up with new floating hardware, and build deeper into the blue with water-placeable refined concrete.

g RSO Compatibility

When used with RSO, starter patches sometimes are partially or fully submerged, which makes it not possible to progress (since underwater mining requires 2 sci packs). Please fix! Ty :)

Can you provide a more detailed example of this happening, ideally with particular generation settings?

I can upload a save file somewhere. Would that be helpful?
Its a save with K2, alien biomes, RSO and Dredgeworks (and few other mods which shouldn't alter worldgen).
The starter stone and rare metals are underwater. Yesterday, I've had a few starter points where full iron / copper was underwater.

anywyas, it happens with default worldgen settings for the set, but it seems to be more probable if i increase water's second slider (whats the name) in terrain.

Dredgeworks makes no alteration to default resource starting position; if resources are being placed underwater, they would simply not be generated at all if Dredgeworks weren't installed. I suspect this may be an issue somewhere between K2, Alien Biomes and RSO.

Can you recommend whom should I poke with this bug, than?

I wrote here because you have your mod depending on rso, and rso doesn't mention dredgeworks as compatible, so I figured it would be this mod which does the compatibility part.

Probably RSO (since it's the one dropping ore patches inside water) or K2 (since it's that mod's ore patch involved)?

As an additional note, submerged ores don't strictly require seafloor drills to extract; hand mining works, as does the edge of the regular electric mining drill's coverage zone.
