Dredgeworks

by Kubius

Ore patches now spill over into the sea as submerged variants. Dredge them up with new floating hardware, and build deeper into the blue with water-placeable refined concrete.

b [Fixed 0.8.6] Pyanodons bug?

Hi Factorio gave me this message today...
I'm using a full Py suite mods and a bit of QoL if you'd like the modlist.

The mod Dredgeworks (0.8.5) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.

Error while running event dredgeworks::on_chunk_generated (ID 15)
dredgeworks/logic/submerge_ore.lua:21: attempt to index field 'products' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
dredgeworks/logic/submerge_ore.lua:21: in function <dredgeworks/logic/submerge_ore.lua:1>

Prospective fix coming soon.

Update: Never mind, apparently. Can't reproduce issue on 0.8.5 with Py modpack. Please provide full modlist.

Hi
it's a weird behavior. Maybe it would be better if I send you my save file. There is a whole modlist do dowload.
Maybe it's not your mod to fail. Factorio just showed me that message to report to you...

it only happens when I go exploring south of my base. There's something generating that crashes the gameplay to menu.

Hope this helps.

It's definitely something to do with an interaction between Dredgeworks and another mod; what I can't figure out is why a resource wouldn't have a mining product. I've flown over a large water area with the default Pyanodon's modpack and been unable to run into any resource that would cause the issue.

Could you post your mod list (mod-list.json) to Pastebin instead? A save file's a little more awkward to work with.

Also, I've released a new version (0.8.6) that should hopefully "blindly" fix this. Give it a whirl!

I've downloaded the new release...
And whatever you blindly did... Actually perfectly helped :)

Thank you for your work. Love your mod. Would be shame if I had to stop using it.
Have a coffee on me if you have the means :)

If you'd still like the mod list.json just tell me.

If the issue is resolved, don't need it anymore. About chipping in - pick somewhere local that unconditionally helps people in need and send something their way instead :)
