Factorio - Space Age, but without the sun. Pitch black planets, new lighting options, a whole new power generation system for space platforms, and changes to Fulgora's nighttime storms.

g krastorio space out incompatible

the mod conflicts with krastorio 2 space out mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Krastorio2-spaced-out) can you solve it?

This is a similar issue to a previous post here, where my mod removes some items that Spaced Out assumes exists. In this case it seems to be two items, solar panel equipment and night vision. Additionally, fixing the crash isn't enough, as the removal or large changes to some of these items (solar panels becoming conduits) will cause gameplay issues anyway.

I don't really plan on fixing these incompatibilities unless the mod randomly becomes super popular overnight, as it was really just a fun gameplay mod I made for my own playthrough. Thanks for the report regardless, but this probably won't be patched.

(Technically solar panel equipment is still in the game, but internally it's under the generator-equipment type now to make it work at night)

So update on this, turns out 2.0.53 actually allows me to fix the solar panel equipment issue. I've gone and fixed the night vision crash too, so the game should load with the next update.

A few notes:
- Only the base game solar equipment will work at night. The upgraded versions will produce nothing.
- The MK2 Night Vision exists and happens to not require the MK1 in the recipe so functions normally. Crafting one is cowardly however.
- Conduits produce a lot less energy due to Spaced Out's changes. MK2 solar panels are useless, so recharging space platforms will take a while.
-- Though that being said, Wind turbines and Gas power stations seem to work fine in space. Could be an interesting challenge?

I don't plan to fix any issues other than getting the mod to load, but let me know if it crashes for any reason.
