Creates a feature-rich train logistics network through cybernetic combinators. With just this mod you can coordinate the economic inputs and outputs of your entire megabase.
I see, so basically a depot that acts as a buffer. I believe I could add this feature, yes. However I would have to recommend against anyone actually using such a feature. One of the primary purposes of a train logistics mod is to reduce the number of trains being used in a megabase and therefore save UPS because each train entity is laggy. Every train waiting at a depot with full cargo is a train that cannot be reused and therefore contributes to UPS loss. Knowing this fact, do you think you would still want to use such a feature? If I feel people are ok sacrificing UPS to use this feature I will add it to the planned features list.
I actually just did some preliminary work and a surprisingly large amount of the mod would have to be rewritten to support this. I originally programmed the algorithm not expecting deliveries would ever be held only partially completed in the depot. I might be willing to do that work, but I need a compelling use-case or two before pursuing such an undertaking.
Yeah sorry about that. You can have trains on depots with unique names placed right next to the provider stations, that will at least reduce the response time on deliveries for those items.
You could do that with dumb vanilla trains hauling resources to your main base close to a logistic train depot and transfer to logistic trains. With Bob's inserters train to train transfer can be really fast or with the train loader mod.
On the rail world map, resources are far away. Without any buffer, consumers are often empty. Logistics are too long. I used TSM before. Full trains nearby solved this problem. But the management itself is too cumbersome.
With your mod, will have to make warehouses nearby, but there will be unnecessary overloading from train to warehouse and from warehouse to train.
The mod author gave you the answer. "Yeah sorry about that. You can have trains on depots with unique names placed right next to the provider stations, that will at least reduce the response time on deliveries for those items."
I've not found it a problem, my "buffer" is on the receiving side, and just add more supply/depots as needed.
