You can build the normal electric crusher in space if you don't want to use the space crusher.

Honestly, I feel the space crusher with base quality should just be a higher "tier" version if not a configurable startup option. This change instantly bricked all my existing space platform blueprints. Doesn't help when the vanilla space crusher and the normal crusher doesn't share the same footprint especially in a tightly packed platform.

This is a configurable startup option, "Space Crusher" which reverts the changes to the crusher. Adding the mod to an existing game bricks factories anyway outside of the space crusher change, so I'm content with it being a startup. In the context of playing with the mod installed from the start, I've playtested enough that I'm happy with the balance and design of the space crusher as-is.

Can you provide a switch to turn off the quality of items on the spacecraft? I want to improve the quality by myself through plugins.

As mentioned, the "Space Crusher" setting handles this already
