Biter Grinder
Biter Grinder is a content mod, use your enemies to expand the factory!
This mod will appeal to folks who:
- Want a deeper combat experience in factorio
- Would like a more complex balance between the player's relationship with the biters
- Just gotta have a secondary option for getting oil early game
Features
- Added Armoured Biters Compatibility (New in Version 0.2.7!)
- This is for previous and new features!
- They give 50% extra resources!
- Added Biter Traps (New in Version 0.2.7!)
- New Tech, Recipes, and Items
- Unlock Biter Traps after landmine tech
- Biter Traps allow capturing various sizes of biters
- Captured biters can be utilized for maximum resources
- Biter Traps will auto place a ghost upon activating
- A few other hidden features!
- Added Humidity Evaporator (New in Version 0.2.5!)
- This building is making pollution to coast the biters out of their nests and attack!
- There's 3 different speeds, 2 unique recipes, and a new tech to unlock it
- Evolution factor now increases the yield from biters (From 0.2.3)
- The higher your evolution, the more biter fluid and blood you gain
- Up to 4x at 100% evolution, this can be modified in the mod settings
- Added blood aquifer spawning (From 0.2.1)
- This happens when enough biters die in the same area
- Requires a pumpjack to extract
- Updated Spawners, and Worms to contribute to the biter blood aquifer wells! (From 0.2.3)
- New Building Humidity Condenser (From 0.2.0)
- Biters leave behind a mist when they are killed
- This mist will be absorbed by your humidity condensers nearby for some extra resources (From 0.2.0)
- Multiple tiers of biter grinder buildings from T1 red science to T3 blue science
- Each of which has their own set of recipes to choose from and module slots
- Which when attacked by biters will consume them and grind them up into useful fluids!
- Even a full machine will still do some damage back to the biters trying to attack it
- The higher the tier of machine the greater the resistances and health it has
- The larger the biter the greater the yield
- Be careful though, a damaged biter will yield less fluid!
- These fluids can be used in various ways to obtain Ores and Oil with new recipes (see recipe tree image)
- This adds an option to gain oil without having to leave your starter base
- These recipes have a longer crafting time than most, be sure to double up or use modules
- Several new technologies have been added to progress through
- These pair up with the military science tree (see tech tree image)
- New strategic options for base defense (see in game screenshots)
- Your outer parameter is now an opportunity to gain more resources
- Killing biters is wasteful, what new designs will you use to take advantage of this?
- Will you destroy the nests? Or surround them and profit indefinitely?
- Your outposts can now gain additional resources being deep in the biter territory
- Your outer parameter is now an opportunity to gain more resources

- All biter grinder levels are 100% fire immune
- Have at thee with the flame throwers!
- There are mod settings for each of the recipe ratios
