BerbCorp Threshold Valves
Adds native pipe valves that can be set to Over or Under with an exact percentage threshold.
What it changes
- Adds one craftable BerbCorp pipe valve.
- Over mode opens when the valve's monitored side is above the selected percentage.
- Under mode opens when the valve's monitored side is below the selected percentage.
- Each placed valve can be adjusted from a small BerbCorp panel. Hover to preview it, or click/open the valve to keep the panel open.
- Thresholds are stored per placed valve.
In-game view
The portal images include a real in-game screenshot showing the panel, the Over/Under controls, the exact percentage field, and the placed valve directions.
Why
Fluid builds often need only the two common threshold cases: overflow and top-up. This keeps the feature focused, quick to configure, and much lighter than a circuit-combinator emulation.
Performance
This mod uses Factorio's native valve prototype and valve_threshold_override.
It does not create hidden pumps, hidden tanks, hidden combinators, or a per-tick fluid simulation. Runtime work happens only when the player selects a valve or changes its settings.
Compatibility
Release 2.0.0 targets Factorio 2.0.77.
The mod does not replace vanilla pipes, pumps, or hidden base valves. It adds BerbCorp-prefixed prototypes and one recipe unlocked by Fluid Handling.
Balance
The valve uses the same flow rate as the base native valve prototypes. The recipe costs pipes, an iron gear wheel, and an electronic circuit.
Safe for existing saves
Safe to add to existing saves. Removing the mod will remove placed BerbCorp pipe valves and their item, as expected for a content mod.
