BerbCorp Lava and Oil Landfill
Allows vanilla landfill to be placed on Vulcanus lava and Fulgora oil ocean.
What it changes
- Adds
lavaandlava-hotto vanilla landfill's allowed tile conditions. - Adds
oil-ocean-shallowandoil-ocean-deepto vanilla landfill's allowed tile conditions. - Leaves the landfill item, recipe, stack size, technology unlock, and resulting landfill tile unchanged.
- Does not add a new item.
- Does not affect Aquilo oceans.
Why
Space Age eventually gives you engineered foundations for difficult terrain, but sometimes you want the simple terrain-filling behavior of landfill on lava and oil ocean without introducing a new fill item or runtime terraforming script.
Performance
This is a prototype-only mod.
It changes the landfill item during the data stage and then gets out of the way. There is no control.lua, no on_tick, no surface scanning, no hidden entities, and no scripted tile replacement loop.
Compatibility
Requires Space Age because the target tiles are Space Age tiles.
The mod edits only data.raw.item["landfill"].place_as_tile.tile_condition. Other mods that also edit landfill tile conditions should generally be compatible. Runtime terrain replacement mods may still conflict if they intercept landfill placement.
Balance
This makes vanilla landfill more powerful by allowing it to cover lava and oil ocean tiles that normally expect foundation. Treat it as a convenience/balance tweak.
Safe for existing saves
Safe to add to existing saves. Removing it stops future landfill placement on lava and oil ocean, but already placed landfill remains normal vanilla landfill.
