BerbCorp Lane Balancers

Adds single-tile lane balancers for vanilla, Space Age turbo and BerbCorp Mark 4-8 belt tiers.

What it changes

  • Adds yellow, red, express, turbo and BerbCorp Mark 4-8 lane balancers.
  • Each tier uses Factorio's native lane-splitter prototype, not a Lua item-moving simulation.
  • Speeds are copied from the matching transport belt prototype.
  • Recipes follow the matching splitter recipe and craft two lane balancers.
  • Unlocks are added to the matching splitter technologies.
  • Turbo is kept as a separate Space Age branch, while express upgrades into BerbCorp Mark 4-8 like BerbCorp Belts.

Why

Lane balancers are useful when a belt lane needs to be split, merged, or corrected in one tile without building a full 2x1 splitter layout.

Compatibility

Requires Space Age and BerbCorp Belts 0.2.7 or newer.

The mod uses fully BerbCorp-prefixed prototype names and does not overwrite vanilla splitter or belt prototypes.

Balance

Costs intentionally follow the matching splitter recipes, but each craft gives two lane balancers because each unit handles one belt lane instead of a full two-lane splitter.

Safe for existing saves

Safe to add to existing saves. Removing the mod will remove placed BerbCorp lane balancers and their items, as expected for a content mod.

BerbCorp-created visuals, thumbnails, icons, badges, logos, and promotional images remain BerbCorp assets. After the 18-month MIT fallback applies, those assets may be reused only together with this mod or a fork/continuation where BerbCorp remains first in the mod name and the BerbCorp logo/badge remains visible on the thumbnail.
