Highlight belts, pipes or wires to trace them through your base. Hover over something and press Shift-H.

g Add "turn-off switch" for pipe tracing

There is an intersection with "PipeVisualizer" (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PipeVisualizer) in pipe tracing . Because both use the same hotkey. There is no option to disable the tracer overlay separately for pipes only.

Thanks for the idea :-)

Reading that mod, it sounds like my "Shift-H" hotkey is pretty equivalent to its' "H" hotkey.
Is the idea that you're hoping to use one hotkey and have it use this mod if the cursor is over a belt (or something with wires) and delegate to that mod for pipes?

If so, I might consider it, I'd have to read up on mod compatibility/interaction like that.
(If not... just map one of the hotkeys to a different key and pick the mod you prefer for tracing pipes?)

One question, probably for the other mod, is: what does it do if you press "H" when not hovered over anything? Does it clear the previous trace like mine does?

I need to update this mod for 2.0 anyway, so I might take a look at this. It looks like that one hasn't been updated either.

Hi,
About hotkeys - I got it. I used different mods for different things. But because of absence of coloring for pipes I preferred to use the other mod.
Honestly for v2.0 I found another solution (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/belt-visualizer) and it has a very cool feature, like one-sided belt highlighting.
As for Pipe Visualizer it clears the previous trace on toggling and has already been updated for 2.0 (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PipeVisualizer-Updated).
Anyway thanks for the useful mod.
