It is a fantastic mod, but I wish it had same advantages as SubTerra mod - splitters and no buffers.
Buffers for belts is not a major problem, but for pipes in Pipelayer it is pain in the arse as I need to make collecting pipes and feeding pipes separately, otherwise all mechanics of top up and overflow valves just go bananas.

Having buffers is key to good UPS performance. They can’t be removed without having the same problems of UPS as Factorissimo and Subterra. Splitters are in the works but they are tricky to code because they are 2x1 instead of 1x1.

ok, how about belt sorters? (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/beltSorter), they are 1x1, and basically do the same thing as splitters
