Thanks for the report! Alien Biomes removes the vanilla "dirt" terrain type and replaces it with a bunch of different colored ones.

Just wondering how easy it would be for me to JUST add splitters, or is this something you plan to do?
It would be pretty tricky, mostly in terms of blueprints. Splitters have complex settings that aren't a problem with belts and underground belts.
