Ironically, this expansion totally started because I wanted Quality to be able to be used in the mod, so I eventually got on the Discord, chatted, and did it myself. And then it spiraled from there, with Pumpkins and Nuts and Buttered doughs and syrup and all the other stuff that's been added.

But, making it Space Age compatible has been a back and forth thing (if you're in the Discord, it's come up a couple times). The thing is that Baketorio is something of a smaller base mod with a focus on the big factory on the main planet. And a big thing is that I would want to make any new Planet compatible with the main theme, science from food.

It's something I've been somewhat thinking over; Pentapod pastries from Gleba where sugar can be mined from the ground and the Jellystem and Yumako are used for food that can spoil (but not the science, because despite some of the mechanics of the mod, I'm not a sadist), Frozen treats from Aquilo with an ultra-cooling tech, Rock and hard candy from Vulcanus where more salt can be mined and only tungsten facilities can make them, ...something from Fulgora (maybe advanced baking tech and a spice mixture that has to be recycled down to separate, similar to nuts now but requiring the actual recycler).

So, there has been some thought put into it, and I still am not sure how space science is going to work... (might just keep it as is with the bit ultimate mixture, not using the asteroid components recipe). But after the sheep and bags update the other night, there is one more big feature I want to add first before I take on making it Space Age compatible and unlocking it, which will be just a little bit to finish.

So, perhaps, yes, it will be Space Age compatible, I hope my answer doesn't disappoint. However, it will be an indeterminant while until then and also be released with little testing just so that it's out the door sooner.

Would it be possible to at least make it not incompatible? I plan to build a gigantic Baketorio on Nauvis. Currently I can only use Baketorio and not Baketorio+ as it’s marked incompatible with space age

Overall exciting to hear the plans you have with this mod!

Sorry, not completely sure what you mean; it's still possible to build a big Baketorio+ base on Nauvis. Do you mean to spread it to other planets too? Or do you want to add the challenge of going to other planets into it as well?
Or do you mean that you own Space Age and can't play it then? Because, forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, but you can disable the Space Age mod (keeping Quality and Spoilage on, because that gives fuller animal mechanics) from the mod menu and then run Baketorio+.

Hey!

Sorry for not being more clear. Current situation is: Baketorio+ can't be added to a game when space age is also installed as it's marked as incompatible by Baketorio+. Desired state would be: Make Space as NOT incompatible. This would mean Baketorio+ would not need any Space Age specific modifications or compatibility from a gameplay perspective. Users like me could still add it to a game and play with Baketorio+ on a Space Age run and e.g. build a Bake-Factory on Nauvis while being also able to enjoy other planets (even if no Baketorio+ advantage is there).

Ah, ok, gotcha.
Uh, I’m not sure, simply because I would want the other planets to be slightly reworked first for Baketorio+ before it’s added in. You can always play the mod first with SA off and then add it later once it’s ready for the other planets.
