I just started a new game with Autodrive, Creative Mod, and Dectorio to test this: Walled in a small area and used CM to get Dectorio's concrete gates, which I put into the wall. The car I used went into and out of the walled in area without problems. Are you sure you've put the gate sensor into your vehicle's grid?
