All The Resources Mod — ATRM
ATRM combines a large family of resource, metallurgy, chemistry and
intermediate-product mods into one maintained industrial system.
What started as a consolidation of the former individual resource mods has
grown into a shared codebase with unified recipes, technology progression,
compatibility handling and regression validation.
ATRM is not just a dependency bundle.
The former component mods are treated as parts of one connected production
system.
Current Release — ATRM 3.0.2
ATRM 3.0.2 is the first Factorio 2.1 release line, ported from the frozen
ATRM 2.10.38 / Factorio 2.0.77 baseline. The supported minimum is
Factorio 2.1.23.
The Factorio 2.1 port deliberately preserves the established production
system rather than introducing a broad gameplay or recipe redesign.
The 3.0.2 development build was validated on Factorio 2.1.23 across six profiles:
- Vanilla
- Factorio: Space Age
- Krastorio 2
- Space Exploration
- Krastorio 2 + Space Exploration
- Krastorio 2 + Space Exploration + MoSII-SEI
Space Age is optional and is not required for Vanilla, K2, SE or K2SE.
The tested integration stack includes K2 2.1.4, SE 0.7.63 and MoSII-SEI 2.1.8.
All six development-profile starts completed initialization, prototype export
and the tracked technology/consistency checks.
K2, SE and especially K2SE remain the main development and integration
targets, while Vanilla and Space Age are maintained as real supported profiles
rather than simple startup fallbacks.
The 2.10.x development cycle was primarily a consolidation and cleanup phase.
It included:
- resource and metallurgy integration
- sulfur and industrial chemistry cleanup
- oil, synthetic-fuel and catalyst processing
- wastewater and process-water handling
- K2SE lithium and Life Support integration
- Foundry and casting integration
- technology and recipe progression fixes
- compatibility ownership cleanup
- savegame and Hidden-Legacy handling
- localisation cleanup
- extensive prototype and progression validation
That frozen Factorio 2.0 baseline now underpins the ATRM 3.0.2 Factorio 2.1 port.
Important: ATRM replaces the individual component mods integrated into
the package. Do not enable those original component mods together with ATRM.
What ATRM provides
- Additional ores, metals, alloys and industrial materials
- Integrated refining and metallurgy chains
- K2 enrichment and SE/Pyroflux metallurgy where appropriate
- Expanded petrochemistry and coal-based chemistry
- Sulfur, sulfur dioxide and sulfur trioxide processing
- Industrial catalysts
- Advanced synthetic-fuel routes
- Wastewater treatment and material recovery
- Process-water integration
- Foundry and alternative manufacturing routes
- Lithium and Life Support chemistry for K2SE
- Coordinated technology progression
- K2 / SE / K2SE-specific machine and recipe integration
- Space Age compatibility where the active profile requires it
- Hidden-Legacy prototypes for existing factories and savegames
- Shared material, productivity and recipe conventions
- Permanent safety contracts and progression validation
Integrated / Replaced Standalone Mods
ATRM is a unified mod and already includes the content and required functionality
of the former standalone mods listed below.
Do not install these standalone mods together with ATRM.
They are intentionally marked as incompatible to prevent duplicate prototypes,
conflicting recipes and competing compatibility logic.

If Factorio reports one of these mods as incompatible with ATRM, this is
intentional. Disable the standalone mod and use the version integrated into ATRM.
Compatibility philosophy
ATRM follows a fairly simple rule:
Integrate what we actually maintain, preserve what existing saves need, and
do not keep dead compatibility code just because it once existed.
The project therefore distinguishes between:
- direct supported compatibility;
- profile-specific integration;
- optional third-party compatibility;
- legacy savegame support;
- retired historical compatibility.
Existing saves using the former individual resource mods should remain
transferable to ATRM where practical through compatible prototype IDs,
migrations and retained legacy content.
The intended migration direction is:
Individual mods → ATRM
The reverse direction:
ATRM → individual mods
is not a design goal. ATRM contains recipes, technologies, machines and
integration logic that do not exist in the standalone mods.
Compatibility is also deliberately selective. Installing another mod does not
automatically mean ATRM will override or rebalance it.
Where another mod owns a system, ATRM tries to respect that ownership.
Factorio 2.1 / ATRM 3.x
The initial PORT-ONLY step is implemented in ATRM 3.0.2 against
Factorio 2.1.23, following the earlier 2.1.20 API migration work.
The port covers changed recipe, item, product, machine and fluidbox API
structures and restores the existing compatibility profiles without a broad
balance pass.
The former early ATRM Foundry and Electric Foundry are now named
Alloy Furnace and Electric Alloy Furnace, with dedicated prototype IDs.
They remain distinct from both the native Space Age Foundry and the optional
SEI Casting Foundry. The original Foundry identity is not blindly migrated
because it was historically ambiguous.
The completed development tests cover six default startup profiles, including
K2SE + MoSII-SEI. The independent Prototype Analyzer 2.0.1 was used for the
final-state audits; it is not a required gameplay dependency.
Still to verify separately: final public-ZIP runtime/fingerprint parity
and extensive migration and gameplay tests with older large savegames.
ATRM 2.10.38 remains the frozen Factorio 2.0 reference line. The larger
ATRM 3.x gameplay and coherence changes follow the API port rather than
being mixed into it.
ATRM 3.x Roadmap
With the Factorio 2.1 port in place, development can continue with eight
larger coherence and compatibility topics.
Current backlog (planned; not included in 3.0.2):
- Metallurgy Coherence — targeted lead, gold, zirconium and zinc/indium consistency.
- Coal Tar & Coal Chemistry — coke, coal tar, phenol, toluene and related chemistry.
- Low Density Structure Manufacturing — metallic frames and composite reinforcement.
- Concrete & Galvanized Reinforcement — concrete, reinforcing rods and structural parts.
- SEI Casting Foundry & Recipe Harmonization — casting recipes consistent with ATRM materials.
- Technology & Science-Pack Coherence — prerequisites, research tiers and pack lifecycle.
- Rocket-Silo Construction Compatibility — direct support after recipe/tech harmonization.
- Electronics Recipe & Naming Coherence — PCB/IC material use and circuit naming consistency.
These are development directions rather than fixed feature promises.
Scope, implementation details and priorities may change as further testing
and compatibility requirements become known.
Development approach
ATRM 3.x does not merge all eight roadmap items into the initial
Factorio 2.1 build.
The development sequence is:
2.10.38 frozen Factorio 2.0 baseline
→ Factorio 2.1.20 / 2.1.23 API port
→ 3.0.2 PORT-ONLY startup validation
→ public package and existing-save migration validation
→ material and chemistry coherence
→ recipe harmonization
→ technology integration
→ external compatibility
→ final regression validation
This makes it possible to tell whether a problem was caused by the
Factorio 2.1 port or by an intentional gameplay change.
Savegame policy
Savegame compatibility remains important.
Where practical ATRM will continue to:
- preserve existing prototype IDs;
- retain obsolete content as Hidden Legacy where necessary;
- use targeted migrations instead of broad technology resets;
- avoid destroying existing factories just to make the source tree cleaner.
That does not mean every historical recipe will remain available forever in
normal gameplay.
Legacy preservation and active gameplay design are treated as separate
problems.
For existing Factorio 2.0 / ATRM 2.10.x saves: create a backup before
upgrading. The 3.0.2 startup matrix passed, but full migration of older saves,
including placed machines and research state, has not yet been verified.

ATRM is developed around the kind of factory I actually play:
large, long-running, heavily modded games where materials, chemistry,
technology and compatibility eventually have to work as one system.
That is also the direction for ATRM 3.x.
