So prismite doesn't have any use until way later in the game, but it's given to you in large quantities by the basic stone recipe. And the only thing you can do with it is either stockpile it in a bunch of chests or shoot those chests to get rid of it.

My suggestion is to either remove/replace it from the stone recipe or add a recipe to turn it into flux.

You can start smelting prismite as soon as you've unlocked the electric furnace. I see your point, but I do wonder, is this really "way later"?

On voidblock, yes. I'm barely started automating green science, and already have >two filled iron chests of this stuff.

Fair enough. I added some recipes to the chemical plant to convert prismite to other basic ores, so you only need green science to get rid of it now. This mod was kind of inspired by mods like Morphite so I like this element anyway.
