Thanks for the mod, it's a great idea and has made space age much more fun for me. I am not a fan of the interplanetary logistics system and it's much more fun to build a big train network on Nauvis!
Unfortunately, I was experiencing large UPS drops by midgame. I'm not sure of the cause, I know it's biter related because removing all biters immediately resolved the lag. Please note this may simple be caused by a large number of biters. I did have quite a large pollution cloud going in that game, that covered a fair few biter bases. However, I haven't noticed this happening on previous saves, and the UPS fluctuated quite a lot.
I suspect the issue may be caused by interactions between biters and demolishers. I noticed that swarms of biters heading towards my base would frequently get stuck on demolishers and end up in a strange blob of biters trying to pathfind. This seems like a reasonable cause for UPS drops if the game is suddenly requiring lots of pathfinding calculations.
I also noticed that there were a lot more idle biters waiting around that were not part of any biter party heading towards or preparing to attack my base. I'm wondering if this is also caused by demolishers disrupting biter activity.
I might be off the mark here, but I figured it would be worth documenting it is a possible bug.
