No Space Platforms


Removes space platforms from the game. Rockets fire cargo pods directly at other planets. Cargo landing pads possess one logistic requesting group per planet, so a simplified space logistics proceeds like normal. Note that the orange ‘on the way’ coloration on requests is delayed until the cargo pod has finished ascending from the fulfilling surface.

g Set "remove space science" to disable by default, please

Your mod is a joy to use, as I dislike the building of space platforms (I have other games to have fun doing that, such as Cosmoteer, with more enjoyable systems and gameplay to them) but the way you set up your mod comes with an unnecessary headache.

by default, it removes recipes from the game.

this leads to a litany of incompatibilities where mods such as Production for Everyone, or Galore, or anything at all that requires the space science pack to exist, cannot load.

I ultimately had to disable a solid third of my QOL / alternate recipes mods to install yours, then went to settings, manually opted out of removing a science pack, and re-enabled everything. It still works fine, but having this set to true by default brings some unnecessary headaches with it.

I'd suggest setting it to FALSE by default so that it at least plays nice with other mods upon loading the game in the first place, and anyone who wants it to indeed remove those sciences can -later- change the settings to do so.

No Space Platforms now deals with hides technologies, items and recipes by hiding them, rather than deleting the prototypes. 'Remove space science' is still enabled by default.

This should fix most of the incompatibilities you mention. Please let me know if you still encounter issues.
