No Space Platforms


Removes space platforms from the game. Rockets fire cargo pods directly at other planets. Cargo landing pads possess one logistic requesting group per planet, so a simplified space logistics proceeds like normal. Note that the orange ‘on the way’ coloration on requests is delayed until the cargo pod has finished ascending from the fulfilling surface.

Thank you so much for making this, I was waiting for somebody to get around to making something like this. I do have a couple of suggestions

  1. Removing crusher recipes from the crafting menu does break Muluna, maybe bring that back or move it to another tab

  2. Promethium is unobtainable, could be fixed by making it into an ore that spawns on aquilo somehow.

  3. While I dont enjoy the interplanetary travel aspect of Space Age, I do like having stationary platforms to use as bases. Either in this mod or another, I think a good idea could be to allow platforms while keeping the ability to have rockets travel direct. This one is definitely a personal preference thing though, just spitballing

  1. Crushers are supposed to be unaffected, they are a crafting machine entity that many mods use. They are moved to the silo technology in vanilla, and testing Muluna in the map editor they seem to work fine there. Is there a bug I'm missing?
  2. My more recent thoughts are that space platforms should only be disabled between the planets, not beyond Aquilo. That will require some reworking of the mod, suggestions are welcome.
  3. I'd like to know which functionalities you would use space platforms for in this case.

I would love to see an adaptation of this mod keeping all SA interplanetary logistics but also allow for direct rocket logistics between planets. This would allow for more options for interplanetary transportation which is sorely missing in SA. Combine this with infinite cargo hub placement on each planet and you have much less micromanaging interplanetary logistics while also allowing for using platforms serving multiple planets. This could also reduce the annoyance of constantly having to set full platform logistics for additional planet mods!

  2. I agree with this, however if you were able to somehow create a way to get promethium without creating a platform/ship, that would be amazing. I, along with some others, just do not like building ships

  3. I like to build space platforms that just mine asteroids, and I want to get into the so-called "gambling platforms" ive been seeing people make

also I 100% agree with craftingk1's suggestions. This mod could be as simple as your planet hopper mod but kind of the opposite. Instead of only allowing players to travel direct to planets, you allow items to travel direct to planets. There's a lot of directions you could take this, please keep it up! Thanks!

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I can not request other items from planets (Fulgora - I want to deliver red and blue chips to Nauvis and Vulcanus). I just get the sciences packs. Is this intended?
