I noticed that you can add the Personal Transformer to some armors of the Extended Vanilla: Personal Equipment mod but not to all of them; Specifically the Industrial Armor. Not sure if it is intentionally so, however I believe you should be able to add it to the Industrial Armor as it is has pretty utilitarian use.

I'm unfamiliar with this mod. But by default, the Personal Transformer (PT) mod adds an equipment group to all armors so as to disallow putting the equipment into vehicles. If you can't put it in a specific armor either their update runs after mine does and so I don't know about the armor to begin with, or try enabling putting the PT into vehicles. The latter allows you to put PTs into any grid.

There was a setting in the Extended Vanilla mod that once disabled, allowed the PT to be added to any player armor that worked for me.
I like the option of putting the PT into vehicles. An armored train that recharges in stations and chugs around the base perimeter slowly clearing it of biters comes to mind. Great mod.
