b Planet/Surface association?

(updated a month ago)

"Lostitude" plays when I'm on Nauvis, though it should be for the shattered planet. So far I don't noticed any other mismatches.

Thanks for the feedback, i have changed "Lostitude" to be played on Nauvis, ( also "Maybe Not" at the same time), Those were played on "shattered planet" before and i think the missmatch is caused by me not updating the descriptions from the modpage, ( change was only indicated in the changelog of the "instrumental-song" mod.) I have corrected the descriptions to match the current location where the sound is played (hopefully up-to-date for all songs now), i thought i wasn't hearing them enough that was the main reason for the change and those two are parts of the older song that were made before space age was released, they were all played for Nauvis originally and "distributed" to new locations 'just after release' whereas the more recent are made with a particular planet in mind, so their location is less likely to change.

I considered making the tickbox setting to activate/deactivate a song a dropdown menu instead ; so as to choose the location, with a choice that says "no location" for "deactivate", i need to do more testing with other mods adding locations or planets though, but if you think that could be handful ( to revert the change or add some songs to modded planet or other ) please let me know, i don't guarantee i can make it work but i can try some more :)

Thanks for updating the descriptions.
As for the drop-down menu, I think it's a very good idea. Right now I'm still in the process of hearing your songs on their respective planets for the first times. So I can't tell if I would edit the surface association. So far it's fitting for me (let alone some songs which are too energetic for me 😉). However, I generally appreciate to be able to adjust stuff to my personal taste, and I think others will like to put songs to other locations.

Thanks for feedback :) , the descriptions on the modpages can sometimes lag behind the actual progress, that i forgot to report, the changelogs are supposedly more accurate but mistakes can happen there too !

Another idea i had was to make a setting for "genre" of music, for players to enable only the "nu-disco" or " experimental soft techno" , or to disable the genre that are too energetic maybe , it was before the music were released in differents mods, but now i feel it may overlap. If the tracks released before were re-organized in more "album", to better reflect the diversity and to separate the songs that have different mood maybe it would work better.

For now i have several work in progress, were the association is "planned from the start" and others where it's not the case, and i'm considering for the future to try and make both " calm" and "loud" tracks for every locations , or like "morning" and "evening" tracks :)

Oh and of course, i will try to do the drop down menu list a bit more ! no guanrantees of result though x)

What you're doing is cool, keep it up :D
Organization in albums is an appealing and practical stance. It makes it easier for people to pick collections they like and want.

Having songs related to specific times of the day in-game would be very immersive! Would be great if that was possible.

Thank you again :) unfortunatly no progress on the dropdown menu so far, been playing openguessr a bit unreasonnably lately, giving inspiration for music but not helping getting the code ready.

I fear there may have been misunderstanding, because it would be beyond what i can do to try and make a system to play the song related to in-game day and night from what i understand of modding possibilities.

What i meant was more akin to a second system of ordering, parallel to music "genre" there could be a very simple "morning" and "evening" additions, or "calm' "medium" "energetic", to flag the songs that are of a different energy and make it easier to choose only "calm" songs amongst the different albums, or only "energetic", or "all"

I meant it as morning song would be the calmer compared to evening songs but that may be too confusing wording, i take notice :)

I'm not giving up on the idea for the drop-down menu but it may be in a while, it's getting bigger and more real in my head first, and then it'll be done quickly hopefully x)
