Logistic Network Channels


Adds communication channels to logistic networks. Logistic entities can be assigned to different channels, and will only form a network with other entities on the same channel. This allows for creating separate logistic networks in areas where they would normally overlap and be merged by the game into one network.

g Bots on channels missing upgrades? [Resolved]

The bots on my other channels appear to be flying at level 0 speed. Is this intended? My main bots are at speed 12 right now on channel 0.

I see you have functions in the mod like "syncAllTechToChannels" so I assume it's supposed to work. Maybe I forgot to do something?

Yeah, it's supposed to sync all tech research from the main force to the channel forces like you said. Are you using any mods? Maybe there's some incompatibility, I might be able to fix it if I can reproduce it

Thanks for replying to me. I don't expect you to fix it for me or anything but it does help to know that it's supposed to work. What I can do is try disabling my mods one by one and find out where the incompatibility is. I will also read up a bit on the Factorio modding documentation and see if I can figure out how to test the command in game.

Will let you know what I find out this weekend and if I can get steps to reproduce it.

In the meantime I am still able to use the channels, just slowly. Thanks so much for the mod btw!

Sorry if this is post necro but i just disabled all my mods except the logistic channels. yet i still have super slow bots in the network. (Version 1.1, Mods: Base mod aand Logistic Network Channels)

Funnily enough, I just stumbled upon the solution for this issue last night while working on new features for the next major update of this mod. I'm not sure how much longer it'll be until the major update is ready, so I decided to hotfix it. Mod version 1.0.11 is now available for download, which should resolve the issue with bot speed.

The problem was that the channel forces weren't properly updating the research level for infinite research. Channel forces are supposed to keep their research in sync with the main player force; infinite research works a little differently than regular research, and I didn't test it as well as I should have. But it's fixed now.

Eyyyy thank you. I started using my main bots for it and it just took all the bots in my system for mining.
