I thought that was just how the mod was, but then I saw the option to cheat in the mod settings and peeked at the code and saw your speedybot.speed = iif(isCheaty, 5, 0.45) and such. Well my bots are always flying at blinding turbo speed and mining instantly as if I have cheaty mode on, and I never turned it on. Any idea?

LOL default worker bot speed is 0.06.
0.45 seems cheated, but for speedy bots that's the normal speed and 5.0 is the cheat. light speed ;-)

That's what I'm saying, they're moving at light speed. Basically instantly teleporting from me to the target and back again in a couple of frames.

no, the light speed cheat could not be activated. there was no setting for it, so it works for you with 0.45
but no matter, now there are settings for the speed and the cheat mode can be activated for the data stage (necessary for the speed, because it can only be changed in the data stage)

Well, that's a question of what you define as light speed. i only see the numbers.
Fact is, there were 2 values in the code, and according to the code they should never have run at 5 but at 0.45 which is still almost 10x faster than default.

but anyway, now they run with 5.0 if the cheat is activated, otherwise with 0.06 * 4

so if you activate the cheat you can see if it's the lightspeed you saw or if it's FTL ;-)

1: I reinstalled and updated after seeing your post and now the mod no longer gives you armor when you start a new game. Fucking lol.

2: and hey wouldn't ya know it, but enabling cheat mode now gives me bots that travel at the exact same speed, i.e. basically instantaneous, as they were going before when I had cheat mode disabled. Oh no but that's """impossible."""

By default you get no armor -- craft yourself some light armor and add the modules to it and you'll feel great!
