Inventory Placeables - Shows items you can build with

My criminally-underrated second-favorite mod! Dynamically sets inventory filters so you can always find placeable items in your inventory. Ignores things on your quickbar and items that you set filters for manually. Now with a setting to set the max filter slots each item can reserve!

Introduction

Having a hard time finding items in your inventory? Wish there was an easier way?

Now there is - with this mod, all placeable items in your inventory will be shown at the top of your inventory in filtered slots.

But that's not all! Items which are in any of your quickbars will not be shown in this way. You already know where they are, they're on your quickbar.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL. Items that you set inventory filters for yourself will also not be given slots by this mod. That way, you can always find those special items in the place that you wanted it to be at.

How to use

You need to set a filter in your inventory for this mod to work. The filtered item can be either a deconstruction planner or a fish. The mod will not set or clear inventory slot filters past the point of this filter, so you can reserve some space for construction robots or other things that you want to find at the bottom.

If your inventory is really full, you might notice that this mod isn't setting any filters. At the moment, it needs as many empty slots in your inventory as filters that it wants to set. You can fix this by doing any/all of the following:
- Put more items on your quickbar
- Increase your inventory size
- Set more manual filters in your inventory (past that deconstruction planner/fish slot)
- Lower the Player mod setting to reduce the max filter slots set per item

Any filters you want to set manually in your inventory (such as construction robots) MUST be farther down in the list than the fish/planner filter. This mod won't mess with anything you set after that point, but anything BEFORE that point can and will be reset regularly. I typically put the planner at the start of the last row, and the other things I filter for on the following spaces of that row.

Etc

One of two mods I can guarantee you that I will never again play without, the other being Paste More Logistic Settings.

Inspired by Placeables - whose concept I loved but wished existed in the base-game inventory screen.

Future Plans

Revise "sorting" algorithm so it needs fewer empty slots to function. If you can make one that only needs a single slot, you'd be my hero :)
