This adds in the Abyss, a flying titan from the game Mechabellum. It is powerful late game spider-type vehicle that meant to be a powerful resource sink, and is best paired with mods that add new threats or make the existing ones more dangerous. It is equipped with a horizontally and vertically sweeping laser that deals heavy laser and fire damage. It has 2 rapid firing missile launchers equipped in it's equipment grid with plenty of space for additional upgrades.

Now features the Disintegration Beam, a very powerful area of effect weapon that comes at the cost of putting the other weapons of the Abyss on cooldown for 60 seconds.

There are now mod options to allow the AI to use the sweeping beam when in control of the Abyss, I cannot guarantee good performance from it, but I would like feedback on it

New mod options now exist to either disable or reduce the lifetime of the fire effects spawned by the Disintegration Beam.

1k and 2k textures are included, for 4k textures, which are what are seen in the images, the assets mod is required. Texture quality can be selected in mod options. https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Into_The_Abyss_Assets

Please be aware - The missile Launchers in its equipment grid are not able to be placed back into the grid if taken out, when ever I tried to make them work like normal equipments, they would stop consuming ammo like they do now.

Also be aware, I previously released the sweeping laser in the form of a turret and received a lot of reports that it negatively impacted UPS. I have made it so that the AI will not use the sweeping lasers when in control to hopefully reduce UPS impact. Please give me reports if UPS is too heavily impacted.

Other vehicles from Mechabellum are planned, and if you are experienced in coding or animating in blender and would like to help with future vehicles feel free to reach out.
