Both Schall Lamp Contrast and Inlaid Lamps Extended provide inlaid lamps that you can drive over in any vehicle without accidentally damaging them. Will-o'-the-Wisps gives you UV-lamps that deter attacking wisps. As the UV-lamp are part of the defense system, it is even more important that they don't get damaged or even destroyed.
This mod will turn the UV-lamps into inlaid lamps if any mod providing inlaid lamps is active. I've also tweaked the recipe for the 2x2 Inlaid lamps from Inlaid Lamps Extended a bit so they are 4 times as expensive to craft and use as the normal inlaid lamps; however, they also have 4 times as many health points.
The pictures above show (from left to right) the normal lamp and the UV-lamp from Will-o'-the-Wisps, the inlaid lamp and the inlaid UV-lamp if Schall Lamp Contrast is active, plus the normal (vanilla) lamp, the inlaid lamp and the inlaid UV-lamp if Inlaid Lamps Extended is active.
This mod must be active
One of these mods should be active
If neither of these mods is active, Inlaid UV-lamp will be useless and will nag you once per game session that you should either use one of these mods or remove Inlaid UV-lamp.
If both mods are active, it won't break the game. However, they have conflicting settings which would make the game a bit awkward: Schall Lamp Contrast replaces the vanilla lamps, so an inlaid lamp is available as soon as Optics are researched. Inlaid Lamps Extended requires you to research a technology first, and after the research you get the same inlaid lamp you already had (plus a big version of it). Therefore, Inlaid UV-lamp will nag you once per game session if you are using these two mods together. You can turn off the nagging in the mod settings (startup).
All graphic files have been copied (and in some cases colorized) with permission by the author from Schall Lamp Contrast. I've also used code from Inlaid Lamps Extended to fix the look of the inlaid UV-lamps.
Thanks to the authors of Inlaid Lamps Extended, Schall Lamp Contrast, and Will-o'-the-Wisps for their kind support -- and, of course, for writing the mods that provided me with my first modding experience! :-)
I'm also deeply obliged to anybody who contributed to this thread on the forums for taking the time to patiently show a newbie the ropes of modding. I've learnt a lot from it!
Last not least, special thanks to DellAquila who first encouraged me to try modding myself. :-D
