Exteros Quality of Life System - Cheats

An optional addon for Exteros' QoL System. It holds everything that changes the rules of the game rather than the number of clicks, so the QoL System itself never touches your game's balance.

Features

Nothing does anything until you turn on Cheat Mode in the startup settings. The per-player values can then be changed in the mod settings or in the QoL System's Settings Hub (SHIFT + E).

⚠️ Advanced Reach - Raises interaction, building, and loot pickup distance well beyond the normal reach.

⚠️ Crafting & Mining Speed - Changes your character's manual crafting and mining speed.

⚠️ Inventory Expansion - Adds bonus slots to your character's inventory.

⚠️ Stack Size Manager - Changes item stack sizes, either as a multiplier or as an absolute value.

⚠️ Productivity Overhaul - Unlocks productivity modules for every recipe, including those that normally refuse them, and sets your own productivity cap.

Turning Cheat Mode off removes the reach, speed, and inventory bonuses from your character again.

Upgrading from the QoL System's built-in Cheat Mode

Cheat Mode was part of Exteros' QoL System until version 0.3.2 / 0.4.2. Install this addon and all your cheat settings carry over unchanged. If you update the QoL System without it, the bonuses Cheat Mode left on your character are removed when you load the save.

Installation

Install through the in-game mod manager, or download it from the Factorio Mod Portal. Exteros' QoL System is installed with it as a dependency.

Compatibility

  • Factorio 2.0 and 2.1 - released as two rows built from the same source, like the QoL System.
  • Space Age, Quality, and Elevated Rails - supported.
