This mod allows you to use wooden crates to pack items into and then put those crates on belts, or store them in containers. This enables you to multiply the effective speed of your belts, but requires you to unpack the crates and return the boxes at the destination, thereby using more power and increasing logistic complexity.

It auto-adjusts to a crate stack size of 5, and a number of items per crate such that a full stack of 5 crates has as many items as a full stack of items would. For example, each crate of iron ore would contain 10 iron ore. Each crate of iron plates would contain 20 iron plates, and each crate of green circuits would contain 40 green circuits.

This mod was originally written by Deadlock989 and subsequently maintained and updated by shanemadden. Then it was deprecated, so I created this 'Revived' mod. Then it was mysteriously revived again. I'm leaving this mod up for now.

There is a fairly complete hook API to allow crating to be extended to items from other mods as well. This is documented on the GitHub page.

This mod is fully compatible with the original, and should be able to be dropped in as a replacement for the original. It uses the same item names, so it should work seamlessly. I have done minimal testing to make sure this is true.

My willingness to put time and attention into maintaining this is limited. If someone else thinks they can do a better job, talk to me, and it's likely I'll let you. Please do not bother Deadlock989 about this mod. Because the original mod was mysteriously revived, I'm deprecating this mod. But if the original is ever deprecated again I will revive this one.
