A mod for Bob's mods. Reintroduces green to red to blue circuit progression. New circuits result in overall increased resource usage. Reduces module count and types.

i Green Chips consume 4 Iron Plates in Marathon game. Intended?

Hi Trainwreck,
I started a marathon game and those green chips require 4 Iron Plates each. It feels a bit much in my opinion, because circuits usually require more copper than iron. I want to ask, if thats intended.
Nice mod, cannot tell much about, since i'm struggeling with early game, but i like the idea.

It is intentional. I was focused more on mid to late game balance when picking that iron plate amount. For example the recipe changes mean a processing unit now only needs 34 iron total instead of 48 (expensive recipes).
I'll do a rebalance when factorio 0.16 is released to match any base game changes (see fff-217). I'll try to keep early game in mind, but it can be tricky to match both iron and copper for every level of circuit. So no promises on any iron reduction.

Ok, great. You are right, usually since midgame, iron is available in abundance with the advanced smelting and sorting. And i'm considerung the manganese smelting now, which I never did before :)
