Assuming your not dead have you added support for AAI Containers & Warehouses. The base steel chest uses galvanized steel but the stuff added by the other mod doesn't when experimental intermediates option enabled.

I'm asking as the mod is often used with space exploration.

Originally my reasoning for this was that steel chests are exposed to the air and are not really subject to mechanical wear, so they should be galvanized; the recipes for warehouses suggests most of the steel would be encased in concrete, so as not-an-engineer I had assumed this meant it would not need to be galvanized. It turns out any googling at all reveals I am a fool and that galvanized rebar is absolutely a thing (and also this point is moot for strongboxes anyway.)

I've changed the recipes accordingly, including refined concrete regardless of other mods.
