Yes the mod is pretty much inspired by Alien Loot Economy, though i never used it myself.
1) You should be able to place normal miners on the patches, but i aparently broke hand mining when i changed biomass resource type to get the collector to work on only biomass
2) the balance is still a bit off, and that is indeed alot, but if you start clearing on higher evolution you can get all the reseach from just a few bases
1) Resource colour needs changing i agree.
2) I considered making biters drop resources, but decided against it as i wanted you to need to clear bases for it, and not flood your walls with endless items, but i might add a setting for it
3) This seems like a good call
4) Yea those need a seperate sprite, honestly just wanted to get it done...
5) This would certainly tie the mod closer to the basegame and give it more purpouse, but i cant think of a good way of doing it
6) Whats next, farming trees? insane! Though that might be a good late game idea, as even growth vats consume all your dead tissue and you will need to keep farming nests forever, and thats the opposite of automated!
