With the release of Factorio 2.0 and Space Age, I'm curious about the time frame of updates if you do plan on updating. I hate asking about updates because I know as a modder it probably gets quite tiring to hear, so I had a different question in mind. If you do plan on updating, then based on your knowledge, do any of 2.0/SA's changes have an impact on the ability to update the mod? Optimizations to the game that may speed it up, or under the hood changes that might slow things down?

With the release of Factorio 2.0 and Space Age, I'm curious about the time frame of updates if you do plan on updating.

I intend to update all the mods I own or collaborate on. That being said, the schedule is a bit iffy as I'm currently quite busy in RL. Also, I guess I should update my own mods first – miniMAXIme and its helper have the highest priority as quite a lot of other mods depend on those.

I don't know. So far, I've seen a bunch of things changed under the hood but I'm not sure what impact they will have. Currently, I try to get the game load with my mods, anything else will have to wait. Also, I haven't bought SA yet and I'm not even sure it would make sense for me to spend any money on it: After all, I haven't had time to play in the past three years or so, and never ever finished a single game yet! All I've done lately is setting up stuff for testing my mods, or using saved games made by other people to debug my mods. Moreover it looks like my computer isn't strong enough to make SA enjoyable.

yes .I would only play this game with bio industries+bobs+angels+madclowns. this is truly a hellish time. they expect me to make plastic from a lump of coal. or dig a shiny rock up and throw it in a furnace and it magically becomes an iron plate, no sorting no crushed stone, no strand casting no aluminium,no lead,no cobalt steel, no nitinol, no algae biomass. i mean they added a way to grow trees in SA but its just so meh. at least factorissimo allows you to grow the gleba trees indoors like a civilized engineer... but seriously , this is a great mod and the game is worse without it.

Could you give a quick overview/ any helpful link on how you load/test this mod? I haven't tried creating mods for Factorio ever but my wife and I love this mod so I'd like to help out in porting it to 2.0 if I could.
