g Mod not triggering autodeconstruct.

Hello! I just installed the mod and do not see any empty miners marked for deconstruction. I tried changing the settings, resetting the settings, starting etc. None of those worked. Currently happening on v1.0.3, Steam install with an M1 Macbook Pro.

Is this a bug or am I missing a step necessary to activate it?

It's supposed to search the map for out-of-resource miners every time you install the mod or change any settings. If it's not doing that, then I'll need your save file to debug it.

Here, when the red out-of-resources icon blinks, the miner isn't marked for deconstruction.

Hi. I've just noticed a similar problem.

In my case, it worked for most of the mines that had finished, but it missed one of them.

I noticed it this morning (the game was running overnight). The mine's "target" appears to have been "full" at the point when it ran out of resources (i.e. the belt in front of it). Autodestruct had marked the neighbouring mines and belts for deconstruction, but it didn't want to mark the "target full" mine, even after I cleared the blockage manually.

Does that make sense?

Edit: I've just noticed another one that is exactly as the OP states, so the problem is not "target full" - that's just a coincidence. How do I send you a save on this forum?

Thanks for the report. To share the save file, you can post a link to a Google drive or Dropbox file, for example. Or if it is small, you can attach it in a forum DM to me (robot256).

AutoDeconstruct is supposed to detect when a depleted miners output is full and wait about a minute, but after time is up then it will deconstruct everything anyways. With your save file, I can check for a mood compatibility issue or if there is corrupted data in the list of pending miners. If you have an autosave from before a specific miner expired that would be helpful too.

Sorry for being blind, but I can't see any way to DM you? There's nothing on your profile page to give me that option.

Sorry, didn't occur to me to mention that I meant DM on the Factorio Forum or put a link. https://forums.factorio.com/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=63685

Ah, OK. I didn't realise that this wasn't a part of the forums.

Apparently, I'm not allowed to DM you there because I have only just registered. Fun this, isn't it? :)

So let's go the other route and here's a link to a save on my Google Drive:

Thanks. I saved the file and will look at it when I get a chance (guaranteed in the next two weeks since I'll be on vacation)

Thanks

Okay, all I can tell from the save is that yes indeed, the miner was depleted but was not in the deconstruction queue. The rest of the miners I saw deconstructed properly. I thought I got all the bugs in search radius limits that were causing missing orders before. The only real way for me to debug this is get a save from before the problem miner depleted

Updating any mod/base version triggers a full map search, so any miners that fell through the cracks at first will be caught then.

I did see another problem, my belt deconstruction messed up a side-loading belt which it isn't supposed to do

OK, thanks. I'll try to catch one as it happens, so you can compare autosaves. The one above was after it had been running all night, so the "before" was long-gone. :(
