So I see there is an option to mark the chest for deconstruction when the miner runs out of resources, but I was wondering if you could also make it mark the 3 belts in front of it as well if it's at the end of a line. Also adding support in case one decided to use a compact version with the underground belts.

So basically when the miner goes, it checks the belt it was loading onto to, if that has nothing on it, it gets marked for deconstruction, then checks the belt the previous belt was going towards and so on until you reach something where something feeds off (line an inserter) or on it.

This feature is finally in place! Enable it in the runtime global mod settings.

This feature is great, but unfortunately does not take into consideration ghosts that will need the conveyor belts once they were placed, such as mining drills.

I hope there is a chance that this can be adjusted, at least optionally, in case it might be a disadvantage for someone.

Thanks for pointing this out! You are correct, I did not account for ghost drills at all. That's part of why the belt feature is disabled by default. I'll look at how it can be improved.

The belt removal also does not take into account recyclers dropping items onto the same belt. So the recyclers output belt will be removed.

Still a cool feature :3
