Like for some recipes like modules and electromagnetic plants, it works like a normal beef up recycler. But for others like arc furnace and the petrolchem building it just spit the building back out with a chance of an upgrade quality. I believe that it should do one or the other, not both without rhyme or reason. Personally I would like if it just works like a beefed up recycler.

It uses the same properties as the normal recycler, so buildings that are locked to not be recyclable stay as is. Im not creating a custom recycling script.
It isnt without rhyme or reason, its quite literally how the normal recycler also works.
The salvager just has an inherit quality bonus.

Sorry for blaming you. I just got the salvager and the new buildings due to the recent 2.0 overhaul update and thought the weird results im getting was from the salvager.
But after reading through the wiki for recyclers. I just seemed weird for me that assemblers/furnaces like buildings from the mod couldn't be reversed like foundry and electrics furnaces. I believe that they should fall under the same exception list that those have.
Like its it possible for you to do the same?

yeah so I just quickly read through the recycling.lua file (granted my experience with programming in general is limited to fpgas so i might misunderstood somethings) and it isn't impossible from my understanding but you would have to change the RecipeCategoryID from foundry exclusive to foundry and assemblers. The petrochem and super centrifuge have to be made from something else completely (i do find it weird that a chemical facility is made from another chemical facility, but it's just my opinion). What do you make of this? or does it not align with your vision for the mod.

i dont wanna add too many recipe categories just for this, its fine as is. If the game wants the recycling balance to work like this who am i to judge?
