Its one of my favorite mods to use, i hope it gets updated sometime.

I was able to hack the mod into mostly working by replacing the science packs and removing the axe items from the Lua scripts. But I hope an official update comes as well!

Yes he would need to replace the axe items with the new research that increases player mining speed.
