Q: Is this a mod of excellent quality?
A: It seems pretty all right! I am by no means a graphics designer, but I spent a lot of time experimenting with procedural texture generation to produce something that I think looks decent enough to be worth sharing. Anyway, feedback is welcome.
Q: How did you make the graphics?
A: Long story short, I made them in Material Maker 1.7 with procedural voronoi texture generation, and build a final sheet from eight variations along with the diffuse borders in Affinity Photo 2. I did my best to create the illusion of perspective, shadow and highlight effects, add some light color variation and also sprinkle a few white and black stones to imitate photos of natural cobblestone that I like. The graphics are also half-way seamless because the voronoi cell generation is seamless, and only the color fill varies.
Q: Will you make any further changes to the mod?
A: I may improve the graphics a bit more and for example make the tiling perfectly seamless (although the seams are already very hard to spot). I won't be creating unique shore transitions, since that is way beyond my capability. Aside from that, I will probably just do basic maintenance.
