Changelog

Version: 1.0.1
Date: 2026-09-27
  Graphics:
    - Improved material background graphics a bit. Slightly increased randomness and size of stones
to reduce moiré-effect a bit more, very slightly increased contrast in color between stones.
    - Updated thumbnail.
Version: 1.0.0
Date: 2026-09-26
  Changes:
    - Initial release for Factorio 2.1.
  Major Features:
    - Made stone be placeable as cobblestone tiles on the ground.
  Compatibility:
    - Made "Clean Floor" and "Realistic Decoration Cleanup" work for this mod too.
  Balancing:
    - Made the cobblestone tiles absorb some pollution (half as much as dirt/grass).
  Graphics:
    - Created my own, 100% procedurally generated graphics for the cobblestone tile material
background, as well as a simple set of masks for all the normal borders.
    - The cobblestone tiles use the same water/out-of-map transitions as stone path tiles from
      the base game.
    - Created a simple thumbnail for the mod.
  Info:
    - Added names and descriptions.
  Notes:
    - I am an amateur, so don't expect perfect graphics! Feedback is still welcome, though.
    - The graphics were created with Material Maker 1.7 and Affinity Photo 2.
    - I apply a normal Creative Commons 4.0. license to the material background graphics, and it
      can be found here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/.
    - The cobblestones are smaller than the bricks that make up stone path tiles, but they are also
designed and scaled to keep moiré-effect across different zoom levels and movement speeds at
      a tolerable level.
    - The cobblestone tiles have diffuse borders that melt together with the terrain, but still
receive retaining walls similar to those of stone path if built on shores. The tiles weren't
originally meant to be built there, but since a glitch allows them to replace existing stone
or concrete tiles on the shores, there is no point in restricting them from being built there
      as well.
    - Tiles only have a 15% chance of removing decoratives upon placement, just like stone path
tiles. Use a mod like "Clean Floor", "Realistic Decoration Cleanup" or "Cleaned Concrete" to
      increase that to 100%.
