As a secondary request could you turn mods that are not essential for Spaceblock to function into optional ones?
Mods like:
-Disable_vanilla_spoilage, let-me-laser-down-asteroids, nixie-tubes, textplates, Sane-Concrete-2, simplified-thrusters - are something I'd love to see optional
-belt-visualizer, smooth_platform_walls, visible-planets - are purely cosmetic, but still very good mods that everyone would keep so they can stay forced
-space-platform-graveyard - has little use since you have one platform
-Even Pickier Dollies- is a utility mod and it makes things too easy
-Rocs-Improved-Platform-Drag - this one is just preference, over all an improvement over vanilla
What I'm saying is you made a good modpack that alters base game significantly but also makes it way too easy(spoilage, lasers, thrusters) and forces unnecesary mods(nixie tubes, textplates, sane concrete,Even Pickier Dollies) on the user
I don't say that your choice of mods is wrong but
-forcing a player to install, load and deal with clutter caused by nixie-tubes and textplates is annoying
-Sane-Concrete-2 has no use after getting a foundry or scraping on fulgora and before that there is no reason to make concrete anyway
-Disable_vanilla_spoilage and let-me-laser-down-asteroids takes away a lot of challange and with that fun
-Even Pickier Dollies is something that will be used by a tiny portion of the players most likely only those who already use it in other saves
All of this being said I will be first to admit that I sanitize my mods and keep modlists an short as possible. I love to remove any and all features that have no impact on the gameplay to optimise performance, even if it is not needed.
I brought this up because I intend to localy modify your mod to remove restrictions on installed mods. If I have this many complaints and am willing to go this far to resolve them than there's a good chance a regular player will have one or two themself. Also it would be a pain to do this every update;)
I'd like to remind that I love your mod and my criticism is purely out of my passion for this project.
Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk
Sincerely Mikro
