FAQ

No one has asked questions yet! Here are my guesses at things you might want to know.

Q. How does it work?
A. After you unlock prometheum science, unlock the wormhole discovery technology. Then, pilot a space platform to the Wormhole location that is near to the Solar System Edge. Note, a player must be aboard.
Once you arrive, you'll be presented with a dialog box asking if you want to enter. I recommend saving at this point
If you choose the "Enter the wormhole" option, all planetary surfaces, and space platforms not stopped at the Wormhole, will be deleted.
Space platforms will then be teleported back to an inner-system planet.

Q. Help, I no longer have a body
A. At the moment (V1.0.3), the mod doesn't safely handle players who aren't in a safe location at the time of deletion. If you're in an unsafe location, you'll end up on Nauvis; possibly before Nauvis is deleted. If you're on Nauvis when it's deleted, you will lose your body and need to reload an earlier save.

Q. Wait, this deletes my planets?
A. It deletes the surfaces, and changes the map generation seed. When your space platform visits the planet in space again, it'll create a new surface for you to land on, just like your first time visiting; but it'll be a different unfamiliar surface.

Q. What about other modded surfaces and planets
A. I've not tested, but I believe this treats them all the same

Q. What about multiplayer?
A. Make damn sure everyone currently online is on the Wormhole platform when you go through

Q. I don't want to play multiplayer with this mod on, the griefing opportunities are phenomenal
A. Whilst I've not had the chance to test in multiplayer yet, the dialog should only open when an Admin (the host, if otherwise not specified) arrives at the wormhole.

Chronosfear asked:
Q: Does this work with other planet mods like Rubia and Maraxsis?
A: As of 1.1.0 - Kinda! I found that both Rubia and Maraxis crash the game when their planet surfaces are deleted, so for the moment ANY planet that isn't recognised by the mod, gets skipped, and will persist when entering the wormhole;
Chronosfear says that they just deleted the modded planets using the Editor afterwards.
