Hello, i have an idea - what about adding woodchips as byproduct for manufacturing things with wood and lumber (with wooden logistics)?
This can represent that some of wasted material will be collected as sawdust, filings or cuttings.
I have huge demand for charcoal and a lot of wood is going towards it's production.
Getting extra woodchips "for free" will ease this burden at a cost of complicated logistics.
But this is positive from my point of view. Maybe add this as an option if it's not for everyone.

Also what if recycling items with wood/lumber yields not just wood/lumber back but partialy woodchips as well?

Recycling wood and lumber do yield woodchips instead of their own item.
I think I'd rather leave this set of features as a separate mod, but I like the idea!

Would you mind sharing your save? I'd like to see it for balance purposes, as I haven't had the time to see what demand for charcoal looks like in mid- late- games might look like.

I actually just implemented something similar to this suggestion with Scrappy Industry, with this mod installed alongside it, crafting wood items byproducts some woodchips as well.
